What Neural Video Engine is

Neural Video Engine (NVE) is a web app for turning audio-led projects into timed visuals: previews you can watch full screen, packages you can download, optional AI for transcription and imagery where the product offers it, short vertical clips from a longer video, and podcast-style MP4 tools. It is a guided pipeline, not a full replacement for a traditional video editor.

Pages in this site

Where What you use it for
Home (/) Overview of the product and how to get started.
Create (/create) Main workflow: upload audio, run a mock or AI-assisted pipeline, preview, and export a bundle when available.
Fullscreen demo (/demo) Watch a cinematic preview of a bundle you already prepared (often opened from Create).
Sample gallery (/demos) Watch sample MP4s the site already hosts. You do not build new projects here—use Create or Shorts for your own files.
Shorts (/shorts) Upload a long video and a plan to generate vertical clips on the server.
Podcast render (/podcast-render) Turn scene data into an MP4, optionally mix bed audio, and use Publishing & SEO where offered to draft titles and descriptions.
Help (/help) This page.
Account (/account) After magic-link email sign-in (not the site-wide demo password): your plan, BYOK API keys (same keys as /setup/keys), optional bonus / legacy ledger balances and audit lines, saved defaults for Create, Stripe Manage subscription, sessions, and delete-account. Main signed-in control panel when accounts are enabled.
Status (/status) Traffic-light style checks that video tools and job storage are working on this deployment (no raw JSON).
Setup keys (/setup/keys) After sign-in: add OpenAI (and Anthropic where offered) keys for BYOK — AI usage is billed by those providers to you, not as bundled monthly platform AI credits.
Login (/login) Magic link to your email when accounts are enabled; or a site access password when the host has gated the whole app — follow the on-screen wording for your deployment.

Length, size, and “long video” limits

NVE is built around API and server timeouts, upload caps, and finite RAM on the machine that runs FFmpeg and ZIP exports. In practice:

  • One Create / AI job is validated against a maximum declared duration (on the order of tens of minutes per request, with a hard ceiling enforced in the API). Going longer may require splitting the project or using mock / partial flows.
  • Speech-to-text has a per-file size limit (Whisper’s cap is on the order of 25 MB per request to the cloud STT provider; the app may accept a larger upload only after local prep).
  • Podcast render uses separate voice/bed/master upload limits (large, but not unlimited — see errors on that page).
  • Very long timelines + many full-resolution stills increase memory use when rendering or zipping; if the server runs out of memory, reduce scene count, resolution, or split the job.

Always read the error message on the page — it is more specific than this help file for your host’s configuration.

Create — typical flow

  1. Open Create and upload your audio (and any optional assets the form asks for).
  2. Choose mock (structure and layout without cloud AI where available) or AI (transcription and imagery where the server supports it).
  3. Use Plan, then Execute, and Refine as the UI describes. Estimates on the page (if shown) are guides only; signed-in AI runs on your BYOK keys and are billed by OpenAI / Anthropic per their dashboards. Any internal credit line applies only where the deployment still uses the bonus ledger — read the labels on that page.
  4. Use Export when you want a downloadable package.
  5. Creative agent (if present) helps steer creative choices for your project—it is not the same as the Help chat in the site header.

Shorts

Upload your master video and a clip plan (the page helps you build the plan). Processing runs on the server; use the status area on the same page to see progress. Very large files may be rejected—try a shorter or smaller file if you hit limits.

Podcast render

  • Slideshow: supply valid scene JSON and optional audio as the form requests, then confirm any estimate or internal credit line the page shows before you start.
  • Master mix: combine a finished video with a separate bed track when that workflow is offered.
  • Publishing & SEO: optional step to draft platform copy; confirm any estimate shown before sending.

Plans, BYOK, and pricing

Pro and Founding (when sold on /pricing) unlock the full app; AI is Bring Your Own Key — you add keys under Account or /setup/keys, and providers bill you directly. The product does not include a bundled monthly allowance of platform-paid OpenAI/Anthropic credits for those tiers.

Some pages may still show credit-style estimates or an optional bonus ledger (top-ups, signup bonus, legacy balances) for features that use internal accounting on your host. Exact numbers are always on the page you are using; if something looks wrong after a run, contact support (below).

Help chat (floating Help button)

  • Ask short, specific questions about using this website (Create, Shorts, Podcast render, login, downloads).
  • Answers are based on this help document and what you can see in the UI. The assistant will not give legal or medical advice, general knowledge unrelated to NVE, or passwords, keys, or secrets.
  • If the chat is unavailable or you need something only a human can handle, use the email below.

Troubleshooting

  • “Site access” or login: use the password your host provided. If it fails, reset with them—do not share passwords in the Help chat.
  • AI or image steps fail: the host may need to enable or fix services on their side; you can still try mock flows where offered.
  • Video or export errors: try a smaller file, a shorter clip, or a different browser; note the on-screen message and contact support if it persists.
  • Wondering if the server is ready: open /status for a simple readiness summary (encoding tools and storage checks).
  • Blank sample gallery: the host may not have published sample videos to that page yet—it does not mean your account is broken.
